Join BOMA for its August luncheon focusing on Emergency Preparedness: Natural Disaster.

Deputy Chief Chris McCarthy of the Fenton Fire Department will be our guest speaker.  He will discuss Fenton’s plan for flooding, how it worked during the January floods and what was learned.

Our venue this month, The World Wide Technology Soccer Park, sustained near $1.3 million in damages from the massive Meramec River floodwaters.

All six fields and the stands were underwater and for the first time ever water got inside the main building. Two feet of water to be exact. That led to massive drywall and other interior repairs.

You'll learn how cities respond to natural disasters, divert resources to cover those emergencies and how you, as a building owner or manager, can respond to future natural disasters.
