Join BOMA for an exciting luncheon featuring Steve Smith, Co-Founder and CEO of Lawrence Group, discussing City Foundry STL, one of the highest profile, mixed-use redevelopments of a historically significant site in the Midwest!

For almost 35 years, Steve Smith has led the expansion of Lawrence Group from its roots as an architecture and interior design practice into a fully integrated services company, which designs, builds, develops, owns and operates real estate. Committed to the redevelopment of St. Louis, Steve has led the development of more than $250 million in historic renovation over the last 10 years, including projects such as The Marquette Building, Park Pacific and Sun Theater. He is currently providing leadership for the $185 million City Foundry St. Louis redevelopment on the former Federal Mogul site. He serves as chair of the SSM Health Regional Foundation and is on the board of directors for the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Downtown St. Louis Inc.

Lawrence Group started construction last year on the first phase of City Foundry STL. The project is a redevelopment of the 89-year-old Century Electric Foundry Complex, later operated by Federal Mogul Corp. The 15-acre site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historically significant, contributing site to St. Louis’ manufacturing heritage. City Foundry STL’s first phase is planned for 122,000 sq. ft. of restaurant and entertainment space, roughly 105,000 sq. ft. of shops and 111,000 sq. ft. of offices. Alamo Drafthouse, Punch Bowl Social, Fassler Hall, and Food Hall at City Foundry STL will anchor.

City Foundry STL's development coincides with the rebirth of St. Louis' Midtown district, which has recently undergone redevelopment and revitalization that has drawn regional offices of multinational corporations and new outposts for global retailers. The approximately 5-square-mile corridor in this region of 2.8 million residents has attracted more than $7 billion of active and announced developments.
